Growing up with my grandmother (Aunt Joyce’s sister) I would hear beautiful stories about Aunt Joyce. Until the day I can remember meeting her. Coming home from school, there was a stranger on my grandmother’s verandah. With the slick mouth I inherited from her I quickly and sternly asked “Who are you”. From there on I didn’t leave her side for the rest of her vacation as we quickly formed a bond.
Fast forward to 2015 when I came to visit after years of not seeing each other our bond rekindled like it was just yesterday. A part of you will always be with me as I gave birth to my son on your birthday August 20th. Rest well my forever Aunt!

Precious moments, precious memories of my loving aunt Joyce. She was kind, loving, sweet and so funny. We had so much fun times together just chatting and laughing and sharing stores. She was one of the sweetest woman you could thing of. Talk about fashion, she would dress to the max. A woman of class and beauty. Always looking out and taking good care of us. My family and I will surely miss you, not for what she does but for who she was. I’m happy you lived a wonderful life, rest well my beautiful aunt

Aunt Joyce you will be missed. This lady of short statue was sweet but sassy, at first glance at a quiet nature but not afraid to speak her mind. On every occasion she and her husband got they would visit us back home. It was always lovely to have them visiting. When uncle Beedo died she would take the visit by herself to see her sister my grandmother Miss Edith and us. On each visit they would sit and talk for hours laughing at childhood memories, things that they want to happen.
Aunt Joyce loved to paint her nails as children it was a joy sitting and watching her do this followed by assembling back her rings on each finger.
Even though she had such a long time and the latter had challenges remembering stuff she still had that great demeanor and still sassy. Aunt Joyce it so sad to see you transition but you have ran the race this course is complete. Rest until we meet again . Your loving husband , sister Mis Edith and son Lennox will take care of you.
