Steve, I still can't believe that you're not with us anymore, although I am so glad you're not in pain anymore. Thank you so much for all you have done for myself and my family we are forever grateful and miss you like mad. We had such great laughs putting the world to rights when I used to get back to your house after a gig every weekend where you very kindly put me up. Obvious topics were Bristol City, Man United and Chelsea (me being a Chelsea fan), England Football team when they played, the horror films we used to watch, both being dads, we'd talk about our kids and how we worried about them and wanted them to be ok in whatever they did, and of course you were very proud of his grandchildren and loved them to bits. We shared stories about this, that and the other and even though my dad is still with us, I think I considered you a dad-like figure, who gave me advice and helped me. I'm so pleased to have known you and will have a drink with you when I'm done down here, I have many great memories including when you came up and visited Heartbeat land which you loved, but typically we were just going to go in the pub where they filmed and they were shutting, lol.
