I was very small, about 4 or 5 when my cousin married Pauline, I wore a blue nylon dress with flowers like the other 2 bridesmaids. Her mum, Mrs nelson gave me a green caterpillar comb, I still have them somewhere. I will always remember Pauline was the most 'glamorous' woman I knew then, she was like no one else I knew. I looked up to her and as a young girl wanted to be like her! She was always kind and lovely to me, her warm smile and charisma gave nothing away of their personal trials and tribulations. We saw her dance in a production of Grease, and she was amazing, clearly the most talented there. I thought it was magic! I'm so sorry she's no longer here in this world, but I have no doubt she'll be welcomed among the angels.

Remembering my little sister who lived her life to the full, often fast and furious she is now at Peace with her Dad who has waited for her for so long. Perhaps when they met again he was wearing his hat with hidden friend, but that's another story. I remember a precocious little girl with Pigtails and ribbons streaming in the wind with her sister Elizabeth when in the Sidecar returning from family holidays at Filey. Of pick-nicks en route to the holiday when Auntie Mad and Uncle Fred would always turn up just as the sausages were cooked. We never did know how they found us. I also remember sitting in many a church hall watching a happy and energetic girl dressed in sequins and lace dresses made by her Mum, as she put all her energy and effort into Ballet and Tap dance routines in company with her elder sister Elizabeth, bringing lots of smiles to all the audience. Now at peace and out of pain I will always fondly remember a happy and fun loving sister taken from us before her time. Rest in Peace.
