Obituary of Alexander Michael McCarthy
Alex was a very strongwilled and independant boy who loved to build lego, listen to music, watch his favourite films and play on his xbox. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends. he was cheeky, and had a good sense of humour too. Over the past year he fought bravely against cancer, a Glioblastoma, in his brain. Despite having been told a few months before he died that the cancer was terminal, Alex remained a fighter and refused to let it get the better of him and set about ticking things off his bucket list. Even toward the end he insisted on being independant and doing things for himself, he certainly was stubborn. Unfortunately he developed a chest infection just before christmas and he was just too weak to fight it and he passed away peacefully with his family around him
