Nan, I miss you Nan so very much. I miss our times together. I wish I could have you here with me from now until forever. You held my hand when I was small, you helped to guide my way. What I would give for one more hug or just for one more day. But heaven needed an Angel and they decided on you. God has given you, your halo and wings and now its time you flew. You brought such joy and happiness, your SMILE never ceased to shine. Youll stay in every heart you touched but especially in mine. Love You Forever & Always Nanny Silv, until we meet again. I am going to miss you so very much. Rest in peace, safe at last, love you so much Karen xxx

Nanny, to say you were an inspiration would be an understatement and although I didnt get to grow up knowing you Im so glad I got to spend the time with you that I did. I hope youd be glad to know that I now have the pinafore you let me wear when you taught me to cook and I will always remember those recipes you showed me. My heart aches knowing that youre gone but the memories I have of you will forever, without a doubt, make me smile. I believe it was a privilege to call you my Nan.

My Beautiful Mum My Best friend for 55 years, we never always saw eye to eye, and were very different people, but thats what made our relationship so unique. My love for you is boundless and my heart is broken. The amazing skill sets you have passed onto your grandchildren cooking, knitting, I have Non, the bar was set so high, I could never be half the women you were. Your strength and determination is what I take from you, to be kind, if you have nothing good to say dont say anything. My Angel in heaven I love you, my world is empty without you. Good Night God Bless see you in the morning Love Your Daughter Jane

Your nan was loved by many, some of the ladies knew her as Sylvia blue bag, a name which seemed to have stuck bless her as there was a couple of other Sylvia's in the group. She was very close to rosemary and myself and made good friends with a lady called Maureen who she met in sandbay when we went there in 2019 for our last Xmas party before covid. Your nan loved meeting people and was always very cheerful and bubbly she would light up a room and always looked amazing in her outfits, everything matched in coordination. She was always showing and talking about her beautiful family and loved to invite rosemary and I around for fish and chips lunch with her best China out. We had many wonderful days out to different places with the sunshine girls always a smile and your nan would show us what she was making from twiddle cuffs for dementia patients, to hats and blankets for premature babies and blankets for the care and nursing homes. She quite often used to make small squares up crocheting for rosemary until she taught her how to do it, now rosemary is constantly buying wool and these blankets are getting bigger and bigger. She came with rosemary myself and few others to isle of Wight where we had a fab break in the sunshine and talked about the scooters as it was scooter rally convention when we were there saying about how she used to go.on back of scooter sometimes. Your nanny's friends in sunshine girls closest ones was rosemary, Maureen, kay, myself,Jean she knew most of the group but only had some very close. God only takes best flowers to bloom in his garden and your nan will shine and glow like the brightest star. Always remember your nanny with that beautiful smile and big beautiful heart of hers, the stars will shine brighter now your nanny's up there looking down on us, she loved her children ,grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart you were her pride and joy xx

I know you wouldnt want us to cry or be sad on a day like today. You would want us to celebrate your life and that is what we will all do every single day of our lives. I just want to say thank you for being the best nanny ever. You got to see the person I have become and I will always make you proud. You were truly loved by everyone. I hope I will see the world how you did, you were always so positive even when you felt low. You werent just a mother or a grandmother you were our queen, now our guardian angel and I pray you guide us all down the right path. Now you rest in peace. In my heart forever, my nanny Sylv

My nan always made me feel so special even serving me my weetabix in her best China with her posh little jug of warm milk, a sprinkle of sugar from her sugar pot and a pretty napkin on my knee, she always made me feel so loved! We grew up making so many memories at the farm, trips to the hippodrome, and getting the bus to broadmead for girlie shopping trips and lunches! She taught me how to bake which I now do with my daughter and nan was over the moon when we surprised her with a handmade chocolate birthday cake last year! My daughters eyes would light up whenever she was with Nanny Sylv and she loved talking to her on the phone they had the most lovely relationship which I feel so grateful for. I miss her so much, but I will make sure her memory lives on by telling everyone what an amazing, strong and kind woman she was and by tending to her plants that now live in my garden with my children and telling them all the stories I have about my wonderful, beautiful Nanny ️

Dear Sylvia, You will be so sadly missed by all your Zumba friends. Not only did you bake the best cakes for us to eat after class, but you were always looking out for others. You loved life and engaged in it fully. And you were so proud of your family and all that they did. God bless Sylvia xx

On 29/6/18 I went away for the first time since my husband passed and I was put in to share a room with Sylvia. She was much older than me and I was really scared that I would do something wrong or we wouldnt hit it off. She mustve been so fed up of listening to me rabbiting on. But if she was She never said a word. That was Sylvia She was such a lovely lady and made e feel so relaxed and we have remained friends ever since. When I rang her a couple of weeks ago I felt something was wrong. But She didnt say anything about what was happening with her own health. Everything was fine according to her. That was Sylvia I just knew from her voice that something wasnt quite right. All she did was ask me how Sandra and I were R.I. P my friend Xx

The saddest thing I ever seen your nan go through was when the man she had been seeing for so long told her he was leaving and not coming back that was after she was diagnosed with cancer of her kidney and was facing big op, I have got to admit a few choice words were said, not by your nan she never swore ,but she showed her strength by staying strong and getting over her op and broken heart she was an amazing beautiful lady, so loved and will be missed by many.
