I count myself so lucky to have known you for so long. You were always so kind to us when we were younger and always treated me as part of the family. I looked at your home as my second home. You will be missed so much, thank you for all you did, you will never be forgotten xxx

For those that may have missed our farewell to dad. The only thing that hurts about having such a great dad is that we now have to say goodbye to you. You bought us up to be kind, considerate gentlemen which is something that you showed us every day as our father. We could not have asked for a more caring loving father than you were to us throughout all the ups and downs that we went through over many years, You were always there for us and never had anything but love and positive words for us in whatever fool hardy times we went through, well sometimes! Such as the time that when mum left you in charge of us both at Bristol airport as she went to the bar with nan and grandad. We were incredibly young probably no more than 3 & 5, when mum came back having said goodbye to her mum and dad departing on their holidays out came the words Where's Jonathan. After a short chaotic search I was sighted at a top large flight of stairs wondering around by myself, You were always observant dad! You were such a significant influence on our lives for more than 5 decades, which is why we turned out to be the men we are today, you were proud of the young boys that have turned into the men that are saying goodbye to you today. There's a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled, however we have the fondest of memories of the great times we had and the experiences we shared together that make that hole that just a little bit smaller. Take comfort that we will look after your wife, our mother in the years ahead and we will talk about you often, reminisce of the good times, funny times and times we spent together as a family and we will always remember you with a smile on our faces. Andrew and I take great comfort in knowing that mum is today surrounded by friends and family that thought so highly of you, it is such a testament to your long and happy life. As a Husband, Father and one of, if not the nicest people anyone could have had the pleasure of knowing which I'm pretty sure they are all richer for it. So all that remains to be said is Farewell Dad, Sleep well. We love you loads XX
